Born and raised in Northern Virginia, JJ Singh has dedicated his career to public service and empowering others to live up to their fullest potential. Throughout his career, from his time in the Peace Corps to his time in the White House Office of Management and Budget, and later as an economic advisor in the US Senate and a member of the Loudoun County Economic Development Advisory Commission, Singh has worked with leaders across the political spectrum to make real change and build a better, safer future. Now, he’s running for delegate to continue to give back to his community and tackle some of the most pressing issues facing Virginians, including the scourge of gun violence.

As a parent, Singh is committed to working tirelessly to eradicate the epidemic of senseless shootings that have claimed too many innocent lives across the commonwealth. He knows it’s unconscionable that America has allowed gun violence to become the number one killer of children nationwide. In Richmond, he’ll build on the progress made by gun safety majorities over the last few years by fighting to pass meaningful solutions to prevent violence, including measures designed to get dangerous untraceable ghost guns off the street, better disarm domestic abusers, and remove undue protections that shield the gun industry from any real accountability. Singh will also be a strong voice against any legislative measures or executive actions that would cut funding for community violence intervention programs or weaken Virginia’s strong gun laws—including its red flag law and comprehensive background check measures.

This past November, we saw what happens when voters stay on the sidelines. Now more than ever, we need as many gun safety champions leading the fight to save lives in statehouses across the country as possible because our future depends on it. It’s imperative that Virginians send JJ Singh to Richmond this January to do the hard work of keeping our kids safe
