Release: Capt. Mark Kelly Statement on One-year Anniversary of Oak Creek, Wisconsin Shooting

“Tomorrow, we will mourn six people who were massacred one year ago while worshiping at the Sikh Temple of Wisconsin in Oak Creek. We also will take inspiration from a community that has refused to let hardship outweigh hope. No one should fear the terror of mass shooting — not at a school, a movie theater, a grocery store, or a house of faith. Oak Creek has devoted itself to nonviolence in the wake of tragedy. Our elected leaders should follow that example by seeking out solutions so others might be spared the pain that Wisconsin knows too well.”
