Capt. Mark Kelly Statement on Los Angeles International Airport Shooting
WASHINGTON – Captain Mark Kelly, co-founder of Americans for Responsible Solutions, issued the following statement after today’s shooting in Terminal 3 of Los Angeles International Airport.
“Gabby and I are praying for the family members of the victims of today’s horrible shooting at Los Angeles International Airport. We admire the service of the TSA officers who were working hard to keep the traveling public safe when they were gunned down. We know that words can bring little peace to those most gravely impacted by shootings at public facilities, and we continue to urge our elected leaders to take note of the increasing frequency of shootings like this.”
Kelly is a retired Navy combat pilot and NASA space shuttle commander.
Across the country, ARS is working in local communities to build an organization with millions of people committed to finding sensible ways to reduce gun violence and encouraging elected officials to enact responsible firearms policies that protect the Second Amendment. Today, ARS stands more than 500,000 strong.
