ARS PAC Releases New Ad, ”Steady for Maine,” Highlighting Republican Senator Susan Collins’ Bipartisan Leadership on Reducing Gun Violence

October 7, 2014 – Americans for Responsible Solutions PAC (ARS PAC) today announced it will air a new 30-second ad titled ”Steady for Maine” that highlights Senator Susan Collins’ (R-ME) bipartisan leadership on proposals that would help make communities safer and reduce gun violence.

In 2013, Senator Collins was one of the four Senate Republicans who supported the bipartisan legislation authored by Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA) that would have expanded background checks to include gun purchases made online and at guns shows, and strengthened reporting to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System.
