Gabby Giffords & Mark Kelly Call on Donald Trump to Disavow Advisor Al Baldasaro of New Hampshire For Saying Hillary Clinton “Should Be Shot for Treason”

July 21, 2016 – Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Navy combat veteran and NASA astronaut Captain Mark Kelly, the Co-Founders of the gun violence prevention organization Americans for Responsible Solutions, today called on Donald Trump to disavow the support of his advisor Al Baldasaro, of New Hampshire, who said on Tuesdaythat Hillary Clinton should be “put in the firing line and shot for treason.”

“Al Baldasaro’s statements are not just an embarrassment to our country and a stain on our politics, they are reckless and dangerous.

“Take it from us: This kind of rhetoric fuels hatred, violence, and puts lives at risk. There is simply no place in our politics and our country for this kind of shameful threat.

“We are disappointed and saddened that Donald Trump continues to welcome the support of his advisor Al Baldasaro after he said a candidate for office should be executed.

“We hope Mr. Trump does the responsible thing and disavows Al Baldasaro for his dangerous rhetoric.”
