Statement on the Passing of Steve Mostyn

Statement from Gabrielle Giffords and Mark Kelly:

We are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of our dear friend, Steve Mostyn. Steve was a powerful voice for the safety and economic security of working people in Texas and across America. In his brilliant work and in his generosity, he always stood up for the interests of the vulnerable when they were facing down the powerful. Personally, Gabby and I are grateful for his leadership in the creation of our organization, Giffords. It was his encouragement and support that gave us the courage to dedicate our lives to preventing gun violence. We are thinking of Steve’s family during this terribly difficult time.
