WASHINGTON – Today, Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, part of Everytown for Gun Safety, and Giffords, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords and Captain Mark Kelly, applauded the announcement of ‘March for Our Lives’ on March 24, 2018.

In the wake of the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School – the deadliest school shooting since the mass shooting at Sandy Hook School in 2012 – students have banded together to descend on the streets of Washington, D.C. and around the country on March 24. They will demand that the lives of students are made a priority and that Congress pass common-sense gun safety legislation.
