GIFFORDS Announces New Class of Courage Fellows

Courage Fellowship offers training and opportunities for young gun safety advocates.

Washington DCGIFFORDS, the gun violence prevention group founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced its sixth Courage Fellowship class today. The  new class includes 13 Courage Fellows who are young gun safety advocates from states across the country, and they are already leading the charge in their own communities. For the first time, GIFFORDS will host the 2024 Courage Fellows in Austin, Texas, for advocacy training.

Former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords

“I’m ecstatic to welcome a new class of Courage Fellows, who GIFFORDS will equip with knowledge and tools to support their mission to end gun violence. I have been inspired by the young gun safety advocates I’ve met across the country who are fighting for safer futures, and GIFFORDS is committed to amplifying their voices.”

GIFFORDS launched the Courage Fellowship program in 2018 to empower young advocates, help them develop leadership skills, and give them opportunities to fight for lifesaving gun laws.
