GIFFORDS Texas Places 20+ Billboards around NRA Convention

Washington DC — This week GIFFORDS, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, has placed more than 20 billboards throughout Dallas during the NRA Convention, highlighting the role that the NRA and gun industry plays in America’s gun violence crisis. This comes on the heels of GIFFORDS launching GIFFORDS Texas to expand its mission of saving lives from gun violence in the Lone Star State, and the hire of Roger Garza to oversee the state’s program.

The billboards are located along the Stemmons Freeway and in downtown Dallas.

Roger Garza, State Director, GIFFORDS Texas:

“Gun violence has skyrocketed in Texas thanks to the policies of the NRA and Governor Abbott. As the NRA comes to town to continue to peddle its lies, we want to make sure that Texans know the truth. We can stop gun violence and save lives, but we need elected leaders who are willing put Texans’ safety over the gun industry’s money.”
