GIFFORDS PAC endorses gun safety champions in Washington
WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, endorsed three statewide nominees for office in Washington State — Maria Cantwell for reelection to the US Senate, incumbent Attorney General Bob Ferguson for governor and former U.S. Attorney Nick Brown for attorney general.
“Washingtonians who are sick and tired of senseless gun violence have a clear choice on their ballot this election — they can elect strong leaders who are willing to stand up to the gun lobby, close dangerous loopholes in our laws, and fight to save lives or do nothing. That’s why I’m proud to endorse Senator Maria Cantwell for reelection, Bob Ferguson in his gubernatorial campaign and Nick Brown for attorney general. I know each of them will always put the safety of families across the Evergreen State first in Olympia and Washington DC and I’m excited to work hand in hand with these committed champions to end our epidemic of gun violence,” said former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
“I am honored to have the support of GIFFORDS PAC. Together, we will address the epidemic of gun violence in our communities and work to make Washington state safe,” said Attorney General Bob Ferguson.
“I am honored to have the endorsement of the GIFFORDS PAC. The people of Washington state want safer schools, homes, and communities and GIFFORDS is making that a reality by working to enact life-saving policies and programs. I look forward to working with them as Attorney General to prevent gun violence in our state,” said former U.S. Attorney Nick Brown.
