GIFFORDS responds to JD Vance calling school shootings a “fact of life”

WASHINGTON — GIFFORDS, national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, responded to Republican Vice Presidential nominee JD Vance’s remarks, calling school shootings a “fact of life.”

“Gun violence is a preventable epidemic that is a uniquely American problem. It’s only a ‘fact of life’ for today’s students and parents because cowards like JD Vance refuse to support reforms that 90% of Americans support. That is a deplorable and disgusting response to a school shooting. We already knew Donald Trump doesn’t care about saving lives from gun violence, it’s now clear JD Vance doesn’t either. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are the only candidates with a proven record  to stop gun violence and save lives,” said Vanessa N. Gonzalez, Vice President of Government and Political Affairs.
