GIFFORDS launches Gun Owners for Harris-Walz
Group consists of 400+ gun owners from 45 states and DC.
WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced the launch of GIFFORDS Gun Owners for Harris-Walz. GIFFORDS has a decades-long history of organizing gun owners who support commonsense gun safety policies. GIFFORDS Gun Owners for Harris-Walz consists of more than 400 members across 45 states, plus the District of Columbia. The group will organize and mobilize gun owners as Election Day approaches.
“As a gun owner, I know supporting the Second Amendment and commonsense gun safety policies go hand-in-hand, and so do many gun owners. That’s why we’re launching GIFFORDS Gun Owners for Harris-Walz,” said former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords. “Gun violence is the number one killer of children and teens in the United States – and it’s affecting Republicans and Democrats alike. That’s why the vast majority of gun owners support policies like background checks on all gun sales. Harris-Walz is the only ticket that will support responsible gun ownership and put public safety first. Both Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are gun owners who are committed to saving lives. We must do everything we can to send them to the White House.”

And that’s why I support the Harris-Walz ticket—because just like me, they support the right to own firearms while understanding that we have a responsibility to our families, communities and country to implement commonsense gun safety laws that save lives,” said Nick Gevock, Montana.
“Vice President Harris and Governor Walz are our best chance to mitigate violence in this country. They emphasize caring, compassion and government being helpful for all Americans. They know that you don’t ‘just get over’ trauma from gun violence. It’s that kind of understanding we need in the White House,” said Jon Gold, Michigan.
