GIFFORDS PAC endorses gun safety champions for reelection to Virginia House of Delegates

WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the gun safety organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, announced its endorsement of all 51 majority-making incumbent legislators of the Virginia House of Delegates running for reelection this fall.

These leaders have consistently championed commonsense gun safety reforms in the chamber in the years since Democrats regained the House of Delegates in 2023. By working to keep guns out of dangerous hands, protect Virginia from ghost guns, strengthen safe storage laws, and fund community violence intervention programs, they’ve always put the safety of Virginians across the commonwealth first. But their efforts were repeatedly blocked by Governor Glenn Youngkin, who vetoed nearly every piece of commonsense gun safety legislation that reached his desk. If reelected, they will continue that fight with even greater urgency and deliver the lifesaving progress Virginians want from leaders. 

“Virginians deserve leaders who won’t back down from the fight to keep the commonwealth safe,” said former Congresswoman Giffords. “These delegates have shown courage and conviction in standing up to the gun lobby time and time again. It’s imperative that we send them back to Richmond this November to finish the work of protecting our children and families from senseless violence once and for all.”
