Russet Perry has dedicated her life to public service and helping others. As a CIA officer, she worked alongside people of various ideologies every day for a higher cause: protecting American citizens, our nation, and ultimately our democracy from harm. In the Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, she continued to prioritize the safety of her community by successfully prosecuting all manner of charges, including offenses involving firearms. In both roles, Perry saw firsthand how too many Virginians die as a result of senseless gun violence each year, whether through homicide, suicide, or unintentional shootings. In the Senate, she will work with anyone to make Virginia’s schools safer and prevent violence against children. For her, gun violence prevention should not be a partisan issue, and if elected Perry will work to implement limits on magazine capacity and to ban assault weapons—because it’s the right thing to do. With our gun safety majority in the Virginia Senate on the line this fall, it’s imperative that voters in this crucial swing district send Russet Perry to Richmond.
