GIFFORDS PAC Endorses Senator Amy Klobuchar for Reelection
Washington DC — Today, Giffords PAC, the gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, endorsed Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar for reelection to the US Senate. With the fate of the gun safety majority in the US Senate on the line this fall, it is critical to reelect committed gun safety champions like Senator Klobuchar.

In Washington DC, Senator Klobuchar has led critical legislation to prevent abusive dating partners from purchasing guns and played a crucial role in crafting the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, the first federal gun safety law in nearly thirty years. In recent months, she has also filed a rare, bipartisan amicus brief in United States v. Rahimi arguing the importance of commonsense laws that limit domestic abusers’ access to guns. Senator Klobuchar has also led legislation to address the proliferation of gun conversion devices, which make semiautomatic handguns more deadly.
