GIFFORDS PAC endorses Charity Clark for reelection as attorney general of Vermont

WASHINGTON — Today, GIFFORDS PAC, the national gun violence prevention organization founded by former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, endorsed incumbent Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark for reelection.

“As attorney general, Charity Clark has been a champion for gun safety and protecting Vermonters from gun violence. Her leadership was instrumental in passing a crucial firearm-related suicide prevention bill, and throughout her tenure, she has worked tirelessly to address domestic violence and promote safe storage measures. It’s clear that she’ll never stop fighting for public safety, and we need her continued advocacy in Montpelier to ensure Vermont’s strong gun safety laws are upheld and further bolstered. GIFFORDS PAC is proud to endorse Attorney General Clark’s reelection campaign and I look forward to continuing to work with her to build a safer future for the next generation,” said former Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.

“I am honored to be recognized by Giffords PAC and proud of Vermont’s progress on gun safety. There remains work to do. I look forward to being part of that work towards a safer Vermont,” said Attorney General Charity Clark.

Since her election in 2022, Attorney General Clark has proven herself to be a strong leader in the fight to save lives across her state and quickly gotten to work in her role of enforcing Vermont’s strong gun laws. As both a mother and a lawyer, she knows that gun laws are the first line of defense at protecting our children from harm—and in office, she’s made passing safe storage legislation designed to keep guns out of the wrong hands a top priority, while also supporting the call to implement an assault weapons ban in Vermont. Having long been an advocate for domestic violence prevention measures, Attorney General Clark also led efforts to enact recommendations of the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Commission, which is housed in her office.
